Hi guys
I am still awaiting my X-canV2 from UK, lost in the mail? Well anyways, when I speakto you guys, everyone says the X-canV2 is a much more musical amp than V3. And still the senior officials always come back to the V2 ;D
I keep thinking, you guys are quite clever, so why don't you start making a 'Rockgrotto X-CanV2 Remake'?
1) I dont have the knowledge, but it could easily be done. I presume that you have the drawings for the X-CanV2 design? What if you use that design, and ask someone to make an exact copy of that circuit board with the highest quality silver traces(as thick as possible). It can't be that expensive. OR, use the X-canv2 design but with Point2Point wirering.
2) Install that circuit board into a X-canV3 'size' box, so that its not longer confined to a hothouse.
3) Use the highest quality components + get the better MOSFET's or whatever it uses.
4) Include a torriodal transformer in the new cabinet
5) Use the Blue Velvet volume thing, or install Cirrius logics best digital volume controller w/a small LCD display.
It will be a revamped amp, and a good one.....
