Hi Folks I´m quite new in this forum but I`ve alreday enjoyed reading a lot of the interesting stuff in here . I`ve just recently bought my first high end headphones Sennheiser HD 650 and MF X CAN V3 which I´ve just finished recapping . I `ve also decided to ordre Mike`s Little Pinkie PSU to improve the sound even more.
I wonder if anyone out there have replaced the signal cable inside the X CAN with any improvement as a result ??

You are opening pandora's box. Not many here believe that cable swaps inside the amps improve sound. Well I don`t understand why not ? I mean people use big bucks on the external cables, that they use to connect their sound source to the headphone amps ! I mean whats the point of using high end quality wires outside and then degrade them inside the box Nothing`s better than the weakest link or ?? Surely there must be someone out there ,who has tried this

Therefore, I am not sure whether only wires brought something to the improvements I've heard afterwards. The best way to find the answer to that question is to try by yourself. And then - it would be interesting to post your experience here ...

I think I ´ll give the Kimber PBJ a try it`s a good allround cable and affordable too !

You are preaching to the choir! In my case I have spent a lot of money on upgraded power cords, headphone cables, interconnects, and yes silver cables inside my Singlepower amp. However not everyone feels the same way. Any speciel brand those silver cables you used inside the box ??

Does a V3 actually have any internal audio cable to upgrade? Aren't the sockets/pot soldered directly to the pcb?

Does a V3 actually have any internal audio cable to upgrade? Aren't the sockets/pot soldered directly to the pcb? All these questions ,(and more!) are answered by the King of the Tweakers (Mike Grierson, A.K.A. "Pink Floyd") Want helpful photos too ? They are all there as well ! at www.rock-grotto.co.uk/x-can-v3-tweaks.htm

Been there, read most of it in a hurry ! Could be that I´ve missed a section, but I don`t recall any mentioning about changing wires inside the XCAN V3. Maybe it`s simply because there`s nothing to be gained from this ,but I`ll give it a try anyway
