On my SAA Equinox Cable the jack, has seem to have some deposit of dirt or minor corrosion, assumes its probably come from my O1 DAC. What would be the best course of action to relieve this problem?
Assumes some for of cleaner?
Basically the right channel cuts out, i need to twist the amp about to get it to work with the sound coming back. It doesn't happen all the time.
Many thanks,
Nathan

Many thanks, Nathan Nathan to be honest unless there was really obvious corrosion on the headpone jack I would be suspecting a little more sinister like a "dry joint" solder connection or some other form of mechanical connection problem. As for a contact cleaner probably the best "can fix" I have seen in a long time is "Deoxit", failing that some WD40 onto a cloth and thoroughly clean the metal contact areas on the jack. Robert

I'm more concerned with the statement :- Basically the right channel cuts out, i need to twist the amp about to get it to work with the sound coming back. It doesn't happen all the time. Nathan I mean corrosion like that on the jack would be obvious, but to physically twist the amp, I could be wrong but? Nathan, do you have another source you can plug the headphones into, if so do they cut out on that?

Sorry i sould say its compact dirt. I think its from the O1 DAC, but i'm not 100%. I've managed to clean it fine. And yes when i twisted the jack it was fine. I think i'll have to have a look in the O1 DAC. And the Headphones are find in my other O1 DAC and Novo.

If it's a mini jack they often lose their tension from repeated insertions, and need to be replaced.
