noticed the belated HB at the top of the forum so figured what the hell, share with whomever a cool brew the wife bought for me on my fiftyith. It is from a U.S. based brewery names Sam Adams that has in the last year of so become my total favorite every day brew but the "surprise" bottle was a special Chocalte Boch that while not something i would drink as my every day/any occasion beer still was a pleasant expeience and the bottle so cool my wife made me keep it for display. This is the puppy here : All in all a nice day that began with a very tasty beer

I must admit I never tried this brew in my drinking days, looks and sounds nice though Rick! If you can get hold of it try a bottle of "Old Speckled Hen" from the Morland brewery, I think you'd like it.. has a wondeful nutty, hoppy taste. Anyways enough talk of beer for me I'm a recovering alcoholic and better sticking to water or mind blowing tobacco

yeah,a single pint 1.4 Fl.Oz. bottle but at almost $20 per a sixer would have been out of the question Being a special edition "Boch" it is as close to a black beer as you can get and still be considered "brown" but unlike most Bochs does not have the lingering bitter after taste. This could be the added chocolate or maybe the brewing but either way the taste is a pleasant one. Since this was my "early" gift a single bottle of this was just the primer since a bunch of us went out after and lit up the town ;D Yup.Not too shabby.I am sorta kinda a beer aficiando like many are with wines and like to try everything but my "staple" is the damn fine every time Sam Adams Boston Lager. This is a very heavy beer and not for everyone but damn sure is a tasty brew ;D I paused before posting this for that very reason but figured you have enough sobriety behind you that it would be cool but still, will chill on the alcohol chit chat
