I just finished my mods of MF X-10D V2. I basically followed suggestions of Rock G. (thanks Rock) and implemented his upgrade. I didn't implement his output caps but rather used Auricaps MKP of the same capacitance. I am listening now the unit and I am already very pleased with the results although it didn't played more than 20-30 hours.
But I have another question. After opening the unit I saw these cheepo tube sockets used by Musical Fidelity. They are made of plastic. I guess that the temperature is not an issue because 6922 are working with anode voltage of +30V. But anyway ... If I am replacing all these things then why not the sockets as well.
Does somebody have any experience with other/better tube sockets for this Musical Fidelity unit ? Which one ? Where to buy them ?

Ok. Let's try once more ... I hope you can access this link. Basically I implemented the kit from Rock Grotto with two exceptions. The first one are the output caps, where I used Auricaps 2,2 uF, 400V. They are these yellow big bottles on the side of PCB. Thee second exception (or better -> extension) is the exchange of all important metal-oxyd resistors. I replaced them with Caddock resistors of the same value. I hope this helps a bit ... now ...
