Pretty much anyone with tube audio gear NEEDS to have a tube tester and they being mostly (OK,all...) OLD will either be very expensive restorations, possibly expensive "fixer uppers" or basket cases depending on how the gear was stored once no longer used on the bench with that "retired,no longer in service, sorry" coming at about the same time we started to get disposable electronics and the local Electronics Service Tech/TV Repairman closed up shop. So all We can do is look for a bargain, download the manual and try and bring that sucker back to former glory and that can be worse than actually BUILDING one depending on how bad or if the innards have corrosion-something commonly found in older badly stored (wet basement, damp garage, back yard shed) tube electronics so it may mean an entire rebuild with not much of the original intact if you are not a cautious buyer. So where this is going is this.I have done a damn lot of research/reading on tube testers and have just about every "findable" manual in pdf form and I had thought to have found pretty much all there is to find of any import but nooooooo.........not only no but not even CLOSE to yes dammit ! Long story short i came across this today and to say i feel somehow diminished, lacking in some form would be accurate 'cause man,i don't usually miss the big stuff and this is no shrinking violet of information on the subject Enjoy tubetesters.info/frame.htm?/info.htm
