Is it possible to vary the gain/impedance/capacitance in the MM & MC stages of the LPS V3 to ideally match a particular cartridge.
A previous amp I owned had the facility to vary the gain by altering the position of resistors and I know that in, for example the Trichord Dino, both resistance & capacitance can be altered via selector switches. Not had the lid of my LPS V3 as yet, has anyone tried this, if so how easy was it etc, or is it better to leave well alone?
Question prompted by the fact I have seen a MC cartridge with a 0.18mv output on E-Bay, with the comment that the sellers LPS V3 had insufficient gain to get the best out of it.

Hi there, I'm back to this forum for this once off and saw your query. As far as I know, the MF LP headamp is fixed gain and fixed everything. So u will not be able to adjust anything unless u mode it. For 0.18 mV u will need a gain of at least 70 db to be comfortably loud.
