I got these today and I think they are worth anyone interested in a close phone with the sound sig of the Edition 9 to at least hear it. It cost a lot less than the UE9.

I'm curious about the new facelifted proline 2500 and 750 what's been your experience between those two? I know little concerning the facelift for those two. But if the 780 is any indication a change in pad is more than a simple facelift. Given the quality of sound that the 780 is giving me, having the pad design move toward the Edition 9 pad design must have a real impact on the final sound. Here is a thought, consider the redesigned pads and mu boards as a complete redo of your room environment similar to what people do with their speakers to properly shape the room response.

I have had my PROline 2500 for a few months, has it been facelifted? I went to the Ultrasone USA website and the pic looks the same as mine. They have changed the name from Proline to simply Pro xxx. They apparently have made the pads more like the UE9 but that could be hard to see in a picture. A few other changes have been noted but I am not sure of them, I think they are internal.
