The price is very close to the W1000's though, the reviews I have seen say they are an improvement over the the stock A900 but I have seen to comparison to the W1000
I was looking for headphones and was thinking of these or the W1000 but then financial reality took hold and I have just got some ordinary a900's from AudioCubes.

I purchased a pair from PriceJapan on the 24th Dec (received them on the 27th at 11am) using DHL at a cost of $450 with PayPal fees included.
I was going for the A900 to replace my HD580, seen the Ti’s and after read the spec sheet I was sold and went for it.
They say they are limited editions but the paper work supplied although in Japanese give no clear indication to the numbers produced.
Out the box they sounded good, less muffled compared the HD580 what I mean is the bass was more defined. After a few sessions the highs were splitting in my ear and found myself taking them off after a few short tracks. I know components need to bed in but this was painful, was the titanium cans to blame? aesthetically pleasing but ultimately something only the dog could appreciate.
A little pissed off (I had just spent more than twice the money I had set out to for the A900s) I start playing test disc at loud levels through them, unplugging them and swinging the cable above my head, if it works for interconnects surely the same theory must work for headphone cords.
Now after many hours with the A900Ti’s I’m sifting to the back of my vinyl collection and listening to some forgotten albums. They are clearly a superior product to my old HD580’s, not just musically but build quality and that was what I was after. I see no reason to go back to the HD580’s as the AT trumps then in all departments.
