If anyone is interested there is a documentary on Marc Bolan, BBC4 tonight followed by T Rex live in concert 1972.
Solid Gold Easy Action - I used to love that when I was a boy.
It's thirty years since Marc died I think.
Anyone know what his last hit was?

Sorry for that, couldn't help myself.i honestly think marc made some superb singles,GET IT ON absolutey superb.really miss some of the old vinyl singles as he often chose to put 2 or 3 tracks on the B sides.i remember woodland rock being a B side & that too was great.sadly missed now i often wonder what sort of musical road he would have travelled? ?

Watched the documentary & some of the concert footage, Marc Bolan's stage presence reminded me of Prince. Sadly, the music I liked as a ten year old is almost unlistenable now.

There was an interesting bit in the documentary featuring his children's ITV show, Marc.
Anyway, it was the last show in the series & he had secured superstar David Bowie, a personal friend of Marc's, as a special guest. Bowie duetted with Bolan at the end of the show, at the climax of the song Bolan was posturing all the rock God poses & accidentally fell of the stage so the camera shots close on a laughing Bowie. This was Marc's last ever appearance on television & unfortunately didn't go quite the way he planned.
