RS-1 is sale pending
Mapletree is withdrawn! I can't bear to sell this thing, thanks for looking.
Posting this hurts, a lot. But, it has to go to afford an upgrade in the K-1000 department. Also, I'm moving to another country soon and with that comes the fact that I won't have a steady income in the beginning.
To be honest, Dutch people are preffered since I can deliver it myself then, otherwise I would really like for this combination to stay within Europe. I dealt with quite a lot of import duties and shipping costs, so I hope I can spare the next owner that problem by keeping it in Europe.
I baby my gear. The RS-1 has never spent time outside of it's box unless it was on my head, and is in great condition. It is the older wood. At work now and I don't know the serial number of the top of my head, but it's pretty low. Pizza box and paperwork included offcourse. Included are flat pads, bowls, and hd-414 pads.
The Mapletree HD was built by VoodooChile and is upgraded beyond HD specifications with silver wiring for all of the signal path, and extra Blackgate VK caps in the power source. The DC caps have been bypassed with Auricaps, and only Caddock resistors are used. When I got it the wood was stained black, I removed this stain and restained it in a color matching the RS-1. There is a small chip on the bottom of the right side when I accidentally bumped it into my cd player when placing it. This could be fixed if you want, but it's not visible from normal angles. I think it's about 2 years old now, still going strong on the tubes that I got it with 6 months ago. I do have a spare set of 12b4a's (Sylvania) that will be included in the sale. Also included is a carrying briefcase, which will fit the amp, transformer, and RS-1. Oh, the amp is a 110V unit but I will include a good heavy duty power transformer.
I have an image of the carrying case somewhere, just not on hand right now. PM me for it.
I'm in Germany right now but moving back to Holland on Friday. I have two weeks off after that, so I can deliver it anywhere in Holland myself during that time.
Make me an offer for the combo, and please keep in mind the high shipping and import costs if you buy these items from across the pond. I would really like someone that's coming to the dutch meet to buy this, so this wonderful setup is present there.
