Hi,
I am a newbie here. I need some help,
I was going to purchase a PCB board/kit called LS-29, which is supposed to be the clone version of X10d/v3.
1. Can someone help me designing the SMPS power supply for car application(12 volts DC)? 2. I am confused about the voltage requirement, I found some says 24volt, aldo 30 volt and 35 volt, which one is the correct one?
Thanks

Small inverters for this purpose are readily available, and not too expensive. SMPS building is best left to the professionals !!! Build the complete kit, including the mains power supply, and you then also have the option of using in a home situation as well. If the kit does not include the mains PSU option, complete with clear and comprehensive instructions, it would be best to NOT attempt such a project if you are a newbie. Your life may depend on it !

I understand. But all I really want to try is just a simple SMPS PSU (maybe +24,0,-24 if it is). Anybody can help me out there?

The voltage is 12 - 0 - 12V (24VCT) "CT" meaning centre tapped. The X-10D is powered by 12V AC but you definitely have the X-10 v3?

No,
1. I am trying to build either X10D or X10v3 from a scratch then I found a blank PCB board on ebay called "LS-29" that I think it is the X10D.
2. I know the board itself it's being powered with something line +24,CT(0),-24 and there's also 12.6ct and other voltage requirement.
3. I try to bypass the original PSU circuit that take 12VAC and try to build an SMPS PSU that take 13.8DC(car) and convert them to "CT" voltage requirement.
Anyone can help me on; 1. I am looking to get the exact schematic of the main board of X10D(or where I can buy the blank PCB board for it, if that "LS29" is not the one) 2. Looking to buy SMPS kit or build one. Need schematics
thanks a million

Firstly, congratulations sir! You are our oldest forum member at 85 years of age. Ah, I see... you're wanting to build a cheap Chinese ripoff clone and need help figuring out how to power it as cheaply as possible? Will your pension stretch to £90? If so I know a pretty good power supply unit that will fit the bill. Doesn't sound like an X-10D to me ;D Sorry for asking but "Why" the hell would an 85 year old man require a line buffer in his car? The mind boggles ;D I believe there is a schematic kicking about DIYaudio forums somewhere..... ask Rick, he should know, he's quite friendly when it comes to cloning requests. Again, Rickcr42 is your man, he's the main man when it comes to clones, he will advise you accordingly My pleasure. By the way...... when you join a forum please take the time to, at least, enter your correct age and your first post generally should not be "I'd like full schematics of a commercial amp and detailed instructions of how to build a PSU for it" Ye gods man, talk about brass neck!
