Hi, ive an Xcan v2 and wondering if an upgrade to V3 would warrant any improvement in ound quality. Plus ive upgraded the valves on my V2 to a decent pair of Mullards, would they fit straight in the V3. Hope someone an help.

I find the V2 is a bit more fun to listen to. The V3 may be more accurate and detailed but for some reason it does not get my feet tapping like the V2. If I were in your shoes I wouls spend my money in a kit from Mike to improve the sound of the V2. If you have the money I would get one of Mike's Little Pinkie PSU's, and if you do not have the available cash right now you can go to www.jameco.com and get one of their 1.5 amps wall wart to improve on the 0.5 amp stock wallwart.

Hmmm sounds like good advice, what i should have mentioned in the first place was, im using it through a good soundcard on my pc to give me the sounds through my headphones and Xcan , so would that sway it in any way. Im purely a games player.

Its all in the source! With a hiEnd source the V3 really shines. With your sound card, I'd go with the V2.
