I've been wondering for a while. I thought the X-Cans used op-amps, and the V2s used transistors.
Based on the pictures on this site, I believe I've been wrong all along!
Also, if you modded an X-Can V2, how close would you get, performance wise to an X-Can V3? could you surpass it?

I believe X-Cans is op-amp based w/ the V2 being transitors on the output stage. Many prefer the original to the later versions. I have a V2 and a V3, and although the V3 is the more correct the V2 is more fun to listen too.
