Hi all,
I am new to this board and live in the US. I will have a like new (was in use for only a few hours) US/120VAC X-10v3 coming my way early next week. The idea is to try the X-10v3 in my main HT/Music system which is a fairly high end ($50K+) all SS Proceed system. The idea is to introduce/experiment with tubes between my pre and amps.
I know a good tube pre-amp is really the way to go, but will be too costly for all the channels if I fall in love with the way it sounds. So the X-10v3 was what I decided to try. I have read through all of the posts in this forum and anything else I can find regarding these X-10v3 units. There seems to be two weaknesses in the X-10v3 units, the wall wart PSU and inferior parts.
With the above said, the Rock Grotto X-10v3 upgrade kit is the only one that I can find that is tried and tested to be worth doing. Unfortunately after three email attempts I have not received a response. Hopefully either Mike Floyd (designer and retailer of the kit?) sees this post and contacts me at simba00000@hotmail.com or someone can assist in having Mike contact me.
I would like to order the following:
* (one) Musical Fidelity X-10 v3 Cap / diode Upgrade Kit * (one) X-10D V3 Heatsink Kit - I am assuming this kit is for the X-10v3.
Thanks in advance!
Kindest Regards,
Chris

I find an easy way to send someone a PM, is to click on their name in a thread, and select the option "Send PM"

BTW, Mike (PinkFloyd) will be out for a few days so there will be an slight delay in his response.

Thanks for the assistance. Mike emailed me and I sent him the funds for a Musical Fidelity X-10v3 Cap/diode Upgrade Kit and the Heatsink Kit for the X-10v3.
Thanks again,
Chris
