X series power supply

I am interested in getting a power supply for my X-can V3. I have scanned through some of the posts, and it appears the PSU from MF is not such a good deal. I am wondering if someone could point me toward the right direction in getting a decent power supply.

I don't have the know-how to build one myself... or I would.

Do yourself a HUGE favour and get a PINKIE V3i off Mike Floyd.you will be astonished what this fantastic piece of kit will do for your sound.check out the feedback Mike has been getting for this wonderful piece of kit.i had the M.F. psu and compared to the pinkie it is shite,sorry for the expletive.

Looking forward to getting my grubby paws on one from Mike to have a direct comaprison with the MF kit. He'd suggested he'd send one along for a demo when he gets his production peak out of the way.

Of course one advantage of the MF kit (apart from the fact it looks nice obviously ;D ) is it powers up to 4 of the V3 X-Components

My experience is it does well against the standard wallwarts, and improves furtehr if you use an inline filter before the X-PSU V3 which filters everything down stream. You can pick one up from ebay for around £130-150, so it's quite const effective for multiple components.

BTW I have the X-DAC, X-CAN, X-10, and X-PSU (all V3) I've been toying with losing the X-CAN V3 (reserving judgement until it's repaire dby Mike later this moenth) and having a bash at SandyK's X-DAC V3 mods so that I can potential lose the X-10V3 .. that would leave me with less of a need for the 4 up capability ... if the demo with Mikes PSU goes well, I could save a whole shelf of space on my stand, and then have space for a turntable and a Graham Slee Green phono stage ... something I've been toying with for some time - but I've no space a the moment.
