Got the kit today and promptly installed it , THANK YOU MIKE ! what a difference to even a wonderfull sounding amp to begin with. I have it running with my HD-580s and a Zhaolu D2.0c dac (with LM4562 op-amps and by-passed DC caps on the output with blackgate mod from Eddie in HK). The sound is fantastic even though it is only a few hours old. Everything is more crisp and very quiet , a black background , soundstage while a little closed now is still so defined. I can't wait to hear whats to come with a good burn-in. Great parts and Im just amazed.
Sorry no pics I took a saturday night to do the mods and was in a hurry , girlfriend is not happy. LOL. I did not know the parts would be here this soon.
I may have damaged a solder pad (ring on the bottom of the board) on the small caps right behind the volume pot. Its solid though just cant get a solder flow around it connected only at one side. Thanks a ton for the kit !!

It just sounds so very much of what I am looking for in an amp. Im going to let it burn-in fully with the 6n1p-EBs before I try the other tubes again.

I didn't see this thread at first.... glad you're happy with it, give her a good couple of hundred hours and she'll sound even better. Don't worry about the lifted pad, this happens sometimes, best thing to do is scrape the adjacent track with a craft knife until it exposes the copper.... solder the leg of the component onto that piece if copper track.... no probs at all You're using 6N1P-EB with the v2? Hopefully you're using a slightly meatier PSU than the wallwart?

I didn't see this thread at first.... . . . You're using 6N1P-EB with the v2? Hopefully you're using a slightly meatier PSU than the wallwart? Very good point Mike, OP basically your MF supplied PSU only provides 0.5 amps. You should get a PSU that provides 1.0 amps or for even better sound a 1.5 amps. Since the price difference is so minute I would go with the 1.5 amp PSU. And Mrarroyo can point you to the wallwart you need I've misplaced the link Miguel)..........

Not to worry I have a 1.5mA PSU. Runs very nicely.
