This one was done for a guy and I didn't really have an opportunity to listen to it but he replied:

Re the Modded X's I have to say that after only a couple of hours of
listening to the units I am pleased with the results especially the X10D
It has much more detail retrieval and presents a much better soundstage than
before.
The LPS has certainly sorted out the limitations of my cartridge I am
hearing things I didn’t know was on the LP. [Definite cartridge upgrade
necessary]
X-Cans
Sounds totally different to before much more lucid and listenable
I think the limiting factor is the stock valves I will try out the NOS' when
I get them.

The gear I am using is
Rogers Ls3/5a Speakers
Electrocompaniet Anniversary Class A Amp
Arcam dac/transport with full on Clock upgrades.
Senn HD600 Head Phones

I can PM you with Dave's e-mail if you want to ask him what he thinks of the XLPS modes now he's spent some time with them?
