Newbie advice on MF X10D

I just bought an x10d on ebay with the original Philips tubes.
If I was going to do one upgrade - should it it be
1) Swop the tubes for ECC85s
2) DIY X-PSU
3) X10D Upgrade kit
Which of the above will yield the best sonic improvements?
Also can someone give me the basic steps involved in swopping the tubes in the x10d (I don't want to break my new bit of Kit!!).
