Dear X-Can Lovers
I have, what I hope, is my final question before modifying my X-Can V2. At the back/inside of the X-Can there is a metal plate between the upper and lower board, and I was wondering of its use and importance. The reason I ask is that I want to fit Elna Capacitors under this plate (as it is my preference to fit Elnas and Black Gates to the lower board and Panasonic FM's to the upper board) which are higher that the 13mm Jamicons that are currently there. Can I remove this plate permanently or drill two holes to allow the Elnas to poke through?
Thank you everyone

No one on earth knows why they fitted that plate.Remove it and see what happens. Some may say it is some form of shielding. But shielding what from what ?The V1 never seamed to have any issues with hum etc............It's not like MF to spend money for no reason though. In short, I don't know either !
Ps.Any idea how to remove the amps from a A300cr power amp ?
