I recently purchased a MF X10-D and added mikes mod kit...The following is a portion of my e-mail to Mike;
The CD player I am using right now is a Denon DCD 810....and the buffer makes it sound better than my Denon DCD 1520 running solo....I also have a NAD C541i..had probs with it awhile back....issues with the front panel controls....it sounds good but lacks the warmth of the 810 and 1520...my amp of choice is a Yamaha AX-700 and speakers are Infinity Crescendo CS 3006....I collect Jap HiFi gear circa early 90's
The best trick I have come across yet....is the tube buffer and your mod kit.
