6N1P perfectly good to use with the V2 but make sure you replace the stock 500mA wallwart with a 1000mA one such as www.rapidonline.com/ Part number: 85-2923 Cost £5.10 (direct plug and play replacement for the MF wallwart) If you fit 6N1P and stick with the stock 500mA wallwart you'll notice it gets VERY hot.... 6N1P needs more juice so play safe and go with the 1000mA PSU as shown above. Sound quality? Excellent! Price? Cheap as chips. [glow=red,2,300]Juicy[/glow]

Great sounding tube with a tendency to go flat over time with that time shorter and shorter depending on how high you bias it making replacing them at least yearly a must. At $7-10 per about as painless as it gets though so you can consider the tube replacement no more than a tune-up ,sorta changing the spark plugs to keep that puppy humming along BTW-This is a tube you buy from a known reputable dealer of new tubes and not from suspect dealers offering bargains because all those "measures perfect, sounds flat" tubes are going somewhere and that somewhere likely open market "new in box" sales to the unsuspecting consumer .
