Hi I've being fixing (?)my V2 to mixed success . New caps yay, burnt resistors, tip 110, powerboard transistors, maybe some mps a92 transistors too boo hiss.(possible short when fixing the mosfets)I had to rebuild the circuit under the middle as it was very badly burnt and hooked something up wrong .The tip 115 and 2 sc3788 may not be the best in the center but I am having trouble finding the 2sc3788 in Australia. The amp buzzes as soon as it's hooked up hopefully the mps transistors will mend that. But to come to the original question what should the heater voltage be between pins 4 and 5 be? Mine last said 7.98 volt but have read that it should be 6.5 volts . Thanks Davidjavascript:add(%22%20;D%22)

Hope you manage to get it sorted out hooograa. I've measured two of mine and the heater voltage between pins 4 & 5 measured:
V2 - 1 = 6.07V V2 - 2 = 6.14V
Hope this helps.
Mike.

Thanks for that Mike .When the parts come in I'll see. David

Hi hooograa, my V2 shows also a heater voltage of more than 7 volt. Pinks said 6 volt. I did no changes at the board.
Had you found the reason for more than 7 volt?
Pleas see my other post also.
Thanks Henry

I'm going to check this again tomorrow with both the V2's I have here.

Thanks for masurement, PinkFloyd. That's amazing, I swear mine V2 has +7,3 volt and -7,3 volt, X-PSU Input here 230 V/50Hz and I am sure in Scotland the same.
It's a mystery for me, perhaps my V2 is alive and told me....don't roll back these nastie stock tubes or I will scorch them.......
So my previous owner had modified the circuit? Which electronic component could be different (any foreign resistors at the upper board?)?

I'd tend to look at TR1 and TR2 if you're prone to worrying about the odd Volt here and there..... the fact you're getting 7.3 per side is no cause for concern, perfectly acceptable and certainly not unusual. Mike.
