Hi After eading some of the posts ... there seems to be some confusion on markings for the 6H23P-EB tube also known as the 6N23P-EB, 6N23pi-EV, 6N23P-EV. This is down to the Russian Cryllic Alphabet which when converted to Western Alphabet translates certain characters as follows: Russian H = Western N Russian E = Western E (bit of luck that one..!) Russian pi = Western P (pi is like the symbol pi) Russian B = Western V So 6H translates to 6N So 6H23pi translates to 6N23P So 6H23pi-EB translates to 6N23P-EV Basically they are all EXACTLY THE SAME...!!! The only thing you need to know is that tubes without the EB or EV suffix are the standard type, and the EV or EB marked tubes are the pucker Military extended lfe and ultra low microphony types.. Some forum members have previously sourced tubes from me (Tony at Vacuum Tube World) if anybody needs matched pairs (or singles) I currently have NOS 6H23P-EB / 6N23P-EV (same thing) available. Just email me tony@vcomp.co.uk For more info on Cryllic alphabet see tdsl.duncanamps.com/cyrillic.php
