Amp kit and PSU kit arrived today. No signs of the toroidal and they have only billed me for the amp and PSU kit, no covering letter to explain what the score is with the toroidal. I can only assume they realised it would cost a fortune to ship a pretty heavy transformer across the globe and the "£5" shipping cost they debited from me wouldn't have covered it. I don't know what the score is but this is probably the worst online outfit I have come across with regard to "progress status". They are obviously fantastic in Australia, established, reliable, etc. etc. etc. but if they are expanding into Europe they really need to get their act together with simple things like confirmation e-mails and order progress status, it's small things like this that give the buyer confidence and assurance. Having said that the order (albeit only 2 thirds of the order with no reference to the toroidal transformer whatsoever) arrived very well packed. I haven't had time to open either the amp kit or the PSU kit but both look extremely interesting and most certainly a lot of component for the money Whatever happened to those Halcyon days where I'd have ripped the kit open, built it and reviewed it in under two hours?.... I don't seem to have time for anything these days.... is it just an age thing this "less hours in the day" thing or am I just a lazy bastard?

Thanks for the update on that Mike, does seem pretty shabby service though doesn't it Now WNA no longer sell stuff I can't think of any place in the UK that sells kits for diy amps etc apart from World Designs which offer valve stuff

Absolutely fantastic kit for the money (the Jaycar headphone amp kit) there's a PCB, all the parts you need and a compehensive construction manual and all for £8.75..... got to be the bargain of the century! If you were to buy all these parts from the likes of RS components you'd be looking at a helluva lot more than £8.75, that's for sure! Actually............ incredibly good value for money.
I will take photos later on and upload them here.
