hi, good chance for you to flext your diy audio knowledge, i brought a small six watt amplifier (prebuilt diy project) the other day, largely because i wanted to use the enlcosure for other things, however i would like to use the amp as well if possible. all the wyring seems a bit strange to me it was sold to me as an intergrated but theres no volume pot , and dont even ask about the way the rca jacks are wired, all seems very weird to me, anyway, its not working ( despite being sold as working) so i lifted up the pcb board where it says icsamp2 iss1488 , does this mean anything to anyone? im trying to find as much about it as possible in order to fix it, thnaks, for any help, mark. ps if no one has a clue i might post pictures later

can you identify the onboard active device (s) ?
Would be more telling than any in house pcb numbering system

That would be the best idea, that way we'd have a better chance identifying it..... plus, some of the members here get turned on by PCB's (myself included) so get those pics up!

hi, heres some pictures, the problem im having at the minute: as you can see there are two set of input pins each with l,r and ov the set which were originaly in use gave no output, but the second set, when given a mono input upmix to stereo, and only the left input chanel works, therfore it acts essentially as a mono amp with two sets of speakers on however looking at the lay out i would say it has potential grater than this, if it doesnt work its not the end of the world only payed £5 and its the case i really wanted, see what u think, mark p.s, just tried to add images, cant get it to work, how you do it in this forum ?

you need to bracket the web address of the pics with the image meta tags which are bracket-img-bracket then address of the picture then bracket-slash-img-bracket (looks like this [/img])
