Just got hold of one of these today and they cost £5 GBP each. The kits come complete with "everything" you need (opamp, head socket, potentiometer, battery pack, capacitors, resistors, LED, on - off switch.. the lot) OK, it's not a headphone amp but replace those microphones with phono sockets...................... As a "super ear" it's fantastic and for £5 GBP worth EVERY penny. It took me 25 minutes to build and was as easy as pie. Just thought I'd share this potential headamp on the cheap with you guys Here's what your £5 ($9) buys you: Kit of parts with instructions so easy to follow a 3 year old could construct it One soldering iron and 25 minutes later! A fantastic little super ear but I have different plans for it  Battery pack included (attaches to the PCB with supplied nut / bolt & chrome standoffs A "fiver"?? this has got to be the find of the year so far for me

you do realise you are totally out youyr mind right ? The 'crap" NE5532 opamp,I say crap only because it is not fashionable even though on the sonic merits as good as most every other 'audio opamp" A 470uF electrolytic coupling cap on the output ceramic caps and carbon film resistor, all non "designer" parts which we all know sound like shit plus worst of all cost too little to sound good Better watch out Mikester, the DIY for Profit Mafia may track you down and shoot your ass for posting such blashphemy because if the truth ever gets out a lot of folks will go hungry !

Sounds as good as anything I've heard under £100 Rick and there's no point beating about the bush pretending (or trying to convince myself) it sounds bad.
