Just finished burning my CDP in. I had done all the mods myself and was going to post in the DIY section with real pride. I encountered a massive hum problem though and sent it off to EFG London to have a look at. Ted sorted the problem out(had not twisted the wires coming from board to power caps), and said he would redo the whole thing again for less then a £100(He mocked my handy work ;D). The new work included a lot of cap replacement on the output stage, good fastenings of Jensen power caps, re-wiring of Audio Note output caps, and re-wiring of clock power supply with screened cable. They also checked it over with a scope. They found the caps from the balanced section were coursing some problems as their was some shielding issues now with the Audio Note caps. They were thus removed and problem resolved. Can not imagine what Audiocom would of charged for this work. So now it is not my work, but worth a view as it is a fine looking thing. A very nice sounding machine to boot. A standard Koala output stage
