First post. Hello. Help.
I am reviving my old hifi/vinyl collection and when I got the XCan PSU (F34ADT-8, bought around 2000) out of the box the plastic earth pin was broken off. There was some foul language!
Now I know it is 12V AC 500 ma but have no idea of the plug polarity as I am used to centre + or centre - and there are no markings . Money is tight, I was thinking of going to RS or Farnell for a replacement, what do I need to look for? Somewhere here it was said that 1A is better than 500ma. is this true?
Edit: I measured the internal diameter of the plug which goes into the XCan and it appears to be 3mm, certainly not 2, so I assume 2.9mm not 2.1mm. OK it seems that what matters is the pin in the amp socket and that is said to be 2.1mm?

Apologies for not being on the ball but I haven't been well. Best regards, Mike.
