Just got my new MM Cartridge running on my Turntable. After the experience of MC Carts from Lyra and Denon over the years its been an eyeopener how much more slam and bottom end fun its giving me...i am not missing the top end tralala from the MCs and am doing some major listening back thro all my old LPs at the moment... Who else still uses a TT reguarly?? LPs last night from the Police The Supremes and the Ramones...i love music!!!

Scott I no longer use a turntable, but, did you know that Turntables outsold CD players in the U.K. recently? By the way, there are many new LP releases available from Music Direct in the USA. Have a look at their website. You can also get regular email updates of new releases . BTW, Vinyl still appears to be huge in USA, with lots of Turntables, cartridges, and all kinds of accessories. Music Direct seems to be currently more into vinyl than other stuff. SandyK

I use a turntable regularly.
Linn LP12 (Valhalla but with Mr Tibbs recommended voltage drop mods) Audio Origami modified RB300 Dynavector DVx5
Love it to bits but I don't but many LP's these days. Last one being (ducks for cover) James Last "Well Kept Secret" a couple of months ago. I'd be quite happy if CD never existed as a musical format & we could still buy all the new stuff on LP.

Hi, I was looking a little "back in time" for turntable threads and so... I am listening to Harry Belafonte right now and boy did they know how to make LP's in the sixties !! I'm playing analogue since the seventies, never stopped but had some "less intensive" periods. I love rockjazz and fusionjazz from the seventies (Weather report, Headhunters, Return to Forever etc). Now me having internet since march 2006, yes thats right...., I rediscovered vinyl, with a wealth of info and forums (vinylengine) and half a year later I auditioned some phonoamps and thus also the GSP amps and, now still very happy, ending up with one. Scott what analogue frontend do you have right now? (mine in the signature)Han

If I might say that is exactly as it should be. How else will we know that you are going to do the right thing with our sound. I only started playing records again around 12 months ago, started out wanting to record my LPs to computer and then CD. Then I found how good they can sound (better than my not too shabby CD player) and forgot about the recording idea. Now I am buying records again Picked up 30 at a garage sale the other week for $25, 20 of them are virtually mint, nearly no surface noise at all after a good washing. Nice mix from Santana and Billy Joel to John Williams and Pavarotti. The best MM I have tried was a Grado ZF3E+ I bought around 10 years ago but to me it is not a patch on either of the Denons I have tried, first the DL110 and now the DL103, not too much tralala with them, plenty of punch and bottom end. Listening to Stanley Turrentine, Blue Hour on a Blue Note reissue ATM - love it, even though there seems to be some tape noise on the right channel. Gee I like what this cart does with piano, trumpet and upright bass.
