Hi I'm looking to buy an icepower d-class amp and use my X10D along with my SACD player, the problem is, is that I have no volume or gain control.
So the question is do I go out and buy a fancy passive/active preamp with remote
Or do I buy a volume pot board with a motorised remote circuit and put in between the CD and X10D or X10D and amp?
Or shall I replace the X10D with something that has a gain, if so what is compatible in quality?
That said is the X10D up there with the best buffers, I know it's old but is there improved circuits now, I see the Chinese are banging out tons of them, do they compare?
