Balanced XLR 4vrms to X-Can V2 RCA - Too much gain or not?

Don't know if I'm the only user who can't seem to find a quoted input sensitivity for the X-Can V2. The reason I'm wanting to know is I've acquired a nice DAC which has both RCA single ended outputs at 2vrms and XLR balanced outputs at 4vrms. I reckon the MF will have reasonable headroom to cope with high output sources but don't know the figures. You could always ask me the question why do I want send XLR signals in the first place
