Hello Have seen the great work done on ' PINKIE ' ! However before I even start down that rabbit hole, I will need to change the volume pot, it is notchy and drops channels and has good and bad days at being wriggled. The printed on id numbers have blotted themselves out, Musical Fidelity and Henly Audio might be able to help if I send it in, a big ask for no definite cure ! and no fun with solder fumes ! Can any one identify it please, even better, supply or know where they are available from ? Thank you kindly Alistair

Can any one identify it please, even better, supply or know where they are available from ? Thank you kindly Alistair Hi Alistair, The pot is a generic 50K linear type which is why the volume is so "immediate" (ie low to loud very fast). I fit a 50K log pot (ALPS) and this gives you much better travel over the entire range of the pot (low to loud slowly). I have loads of secondhand 50K linear pots and am happy to send you one FOC but you'd be a lot better off fitting a new 50K log pot (for the reasons explained). The 50K LOG ALPS pot also tracks a lot more accurately. The only downside ( if it's a downside) is the 50K ALPS doesn't have a splined shaft so you will have to fit a different knob..... like this: All the best, Mike.

Thank you for the speedy reply, Mike. Most helpful . Never understood why the knob was so small in the first place, hard not to be over zealous with it after a few pints of music listening inducement, much to my neighbors chagrin ! Cheers Alistair
