What do you think is best?
A short cable between my record player (din connector) to my MF x-lp or a short cable between my x-lp and (pre-amp) which is a x-pre.
My nu-vista has a phono input but it is still in overhaul.

I would have the shorter cable between the record player and X-LP. the signal at that point is weaker and would be more prone to interference and RF. The X-LP will also have an earth on it and this can be connected to the record player earth. After the X-LP the signal has been amplified and as a result the earth becomes less important. A
