Hello!
Does anybody have knowledge about a little noisy phono-input?
Any failed component or soldering?
All the best.

Hello! Does anybody have knowledge about a little noisy phono-input? Any failed component or soldering? All the best. Hi Horsy, What type of noise is it? Is it in both channels or just one? Best regards, Mike.

Best regards, Mike. In both channels and a normal (backgroundlike)noise but in a higher level, like fullpull on volume without music. /Pierre

That sounds like one or more of the 6CW4 nuvista valves / tubes have gone bad. You used to be able buy them for PENNIES (surplus stock) but they are crazy expensive these days (between £25 - £35 each) I would replace all four while I was at it.
All the best,
Mike.

But if only the tubes are bad then the noise would be audioble on all inputs, no?

Any? (cause I must sell but want to sell good stuff) Pierre We want to help but need more info. If you want to know about the soldering you should open up the nu vista pre. It is a bit of a job to get the pcb out of the casing. Then you could check the soldering or other components that are visually faulty.

Soldering and components looks all good. I've done a complete teardown and did the brush'n'clean in switches. That solved everything except the "pinknoise" Maybe I should re-solder the riaa-parts to see(hear)

Resolder or replace while you’re at it.
