x-can v3 stopped working yesterday as i was listening :'(

hello Mike,

was listening and blue power light went out and sound stopped. totally bummed out. I looked inside most all looked fine to my eyes, but, the front two caps,  one had a small rounding to its top, the other actually looks like its cracked open on top. I'm assuming that is the problem and not the pinkie.

this was modded by you some years ago, using the little pinkie v3 as well. I have loved this amp the most. wondering what magic you could work to get her back running again. I'd be game to send her across the pond and purchase your most recent upgrades. particularly if it makes an improvement in its sound, which I loved for years.

perhaps you would need photos?

Hi Charlie,

Sorry to hear that mate...... send me some photos. It sounds like way too much voltage has gone into the output coupling caps causing them to pop their clogs. Photos please

Hi Charlie,

Remove the two blown capacitors and see if the amp works.... also check the power supply fuse..... the fuse in the power supply may have blown.
