Anthony Michaelson has retired and sold Musical Fidelity to Audio Tuning (Pro-Ject) of Austria. All of the staff at the MF London, Wembley, head office have now been made redundant so no servicing of existing MF products will take place in the UK any more. So that’s the end of MF as we know it then. Sad. Made the most wonderfull stuff with the x-series, I think. Not middle of the road and enough flaws for us to fix.

Friedrich, I think Musical Fidelity is now a thing of the past (it's just a name) any future products will probably only be things like streaming media players and crap for the "streaming" youth of today's unfortunate "in the cloud" generation of screen watchers and anything made under the name of Musical Fidelity will be churned out in a sweatshop in deepest China. A real shame BUT that's the way of the world (unfortunately) these days...... it's all about selling cheap shit plastic, throwaway, crap to an audience who think it's the best thing since sliced bread. History is being re-written, hold onto your amps, your speakers etc. for they will soon be a thing of memory. Just look at Tannoy now....... Iconic speaker manufacturers..... what are they selling now? CRAP! www.tannoy.com/So sad, really VERY sad, but it's the same all over..... I'm not long back from Holiday and there was a guy over there who was streaming music from his phone to a 2 inch speaker..... he told me "this is the best you can get"...... I said "OK" (I couldn't be arsed explaining just how SHITTY his little fag sized speaker box sounded)....... It's gone bad, it's gone seriously bad! It's as if we are going back to crystal radio sets and thinking "WOW! this sounds good!!!!" what the f**k is happening??? People listening to absolutely attrocious "high frequency" turd sound on their phones and saying "that sounds good!"...... what???!!!! I give up, the world has gone mad. |
