I purchased a used Pioneer BDP-140 Blu Ray DVD because it plays SACDs. It will play CDs via analog RCA cables straight into my amp. An SACD is identified & appears to run but no sound comes out. The same happens when I connect the optical out into my X-24K; the CD plays fine but nothing from an SACD.
Is this an issue with the sampling capabilities of the X-24K or is there something wrong with the Blu Ray player? Do I need a more modern DAC? Any insights welcome. Jeff.
I now have 9 X-s hooked up as I kept the X-DAC & connected it to the X-CANSv2, the X-Ray is connected to the X-24K.

SACD is DSD, not PCM, the X-24K may work if the player can convert it to 24bit 96K PCM, check the menĂºs.

Thanks, I'll check the menus. I hooked it up to my TV surround system via HDMI & it plays SACDs so I just left it connected. I really wanted a cheap way of playing the handful of SACDs I have through my X-s & Melody amp into my Ambience speakers using the optical out on the BluRay player into my X-24K.
