Hi All,
Just finished installing one of Mikes upgrade kits on my recently acquired V2. What a change! Only a couple of sessions so far (about 20hrs including short burn in) but sound continues to improve. Well worth a punt on one of these kits.
Thanks to Mike for all the helpful advice about hot bits and tracks lifting. Yes the were fragile and one or two did lift but with care all went easily and smoothly
Thanks Mike All the best
Martin

Nice. Have fun!
The tracks on the pcb of MF are fragile. I've been soldering on some Sony and Pioneer equipment and these were a lot better/stronger. To give it a number on the four MF's I've broken at least five pads and tracks and on the non-MF (about the same amount of components to solder) there were zero problems.

Yes. These mods do improve sound. It's easiest to notice the imporved bass definition. The overall detail level is better as well.
