My XCans V2 has to be placed (for domestic reasons) in a vey confined space, and Mike has offered to drill holes to let it breathe. I am a bit reluctant to mutilate the original enclosure. Does anyone have a V2 (or I guess V1) enclosure in good condition (but not working and not repairable, and hence scrap) that i could purcahse for this operation? Dave G

X-10D / X-CANS / X-CAN V2 enclosures are all the same so any of these will do the job. Please read my latest e-mail Dave.

Go in hard..... if you go in like a girlie you'll end up in A & E with a finger missing...... punch, 4mm pilot and then go in full throttle with the 20mm hole cutter...... piece of cake. look at it as if it is about to shoot you dead...... BANG!. you've made your hole. |

Ok. Thanks for all your comments. I will stop trying to be so anal and get on with the listening. Since my V2 lasted about 20 years without blowing up, i guess it will do the same again, after Mike's operations in it. By then, i won't really care, I guess. Unless they are like a Patek Phillipe watch, that you don't own just keep for the next generation. Dave

Enjoy your x-can! The rock-grotto modded v2 is truly great. I have made some comparisions and I realize that I have to go a very expensive route if I have to top it.
