I did not see this issue/question posted anywhere so hopefully I am not wasting anyone's time :-)
I located the X10-D I had packed away during some home renovations and while reconnecting my sound system I discovered the phono/RCA plugs are loose and wiggling. I opened the cylinder and found that all 4 phono plugs are in a single piece and the connection is loose between it and the main board - not completely disconnected but wiggles a lot.
Questions: Is this a common thing and is there a common fix? Can the quad phone piece be stabilized somehow without soldering? (I am not skilled) Is the "X-10D Plug and play Gold Quad Phono Socket" on the Rock Grotto page really "plug and play" so maybe that part swap is the solution?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Joe

Joe Hi Joe, Sounds like the solder joins have broken or the quad phono socket has broken...... the fix is to replace the quad phono socket with a new one (recommended) or to resolder the existing quad phono socket. It WILL require soldering and there is no easy fix if you can't solder. Do you know anybody who can solder? It's VERY easy to replace the phono socket if you can solder and would take no more than 20 minutes to pop the board out and fit a new phono socket. Whereabouts are you? If you can send the board to me I'm more than happy to fit a new quad phono socket for you..... part and postage / free fitting. All the best, Mike.

One of these: Soldered into place is what's needed....... don't worry, it's an easy fix.

Thanks for the replies - I am in the US so shipping would probably not work out. How do I order the part? I will try my hand at soldering.

That would be great. I am wondering how long it will take for shipping from Scotland to the US. I dont suppose the part is available on amazon? There is an amazon depot literally 20 minutes from my home.
I am not trying to cut you out though so maybe there is another way to support you and thank you for your help?
