Hi Guys Love my tweaked X Can V3 [have owned the previous ones too] for years now, listen to it with both Sennheiser 600 and 650's. I haven't completed all the RockGrotto tweaks and currently interested in the Kiwame and Takman resistor tweaks listed here : Attachment DeletedHas anybody tried these tweaks, comments please on experience(s), if yes will be appreciated. Can somebody please confirm the values of these 3 (one channel) resistors. Thanks. Lastly, is there still no circuit diagram/schematic available for the V CAN X3? AlleyCat [Cape Town, South Africa]

AlleyCat [Cape Town, South Africa] Hi AlleyCat, Welcome to the forum. I don't know about the Takman resistors as I can't really see what the guy has done, his photos are not exactly "revealing" and he lists no values anywhere. I certainly wouldn't replace the 4 x wirewound resistors with 4 x Kiwame resistors, it's sonically better to fit 1 x MILLS MRA12 non inductive resistor as I discuss here: rockgrotto.proboards.com/thread/10847/safe-remove-wirewound-resistors-v3The black gate / Nichicon caps are OK but you are a lot better off fitting "more" capacitance in the PS section....... replace the 63v / 1000uF caps with 63V / 2200uF types...... simply replacing a Jamicon with a Black Gate of the same value will do nothing more than empty your wallet fast. Much better to find a good quality cap that will fit but a cap that is 2200uF / 63V..... you won't get a Black Gate of that value that will fit, it will be physically too big. You are also talking about £30 each for a genuine Black Gate and they just aren't worth the money / 90% of them are fakes. Anyhoo......... hope this helps. Mike.

Thanks for the reply Mike. The tweaks that I have completed are all based on the RockGrotto/your suggestions and recommendations. I am aware of and currently looking at doing the Mills MRA12 resistor change already, thanks for the reinforcement on that.
The Takman & Kiwame resistors are for R113, R114 and R115 and the same for the other channel.

Hi Guys
Need some advice/help please : I fitted the 1 x MILLS MRA12 non inductive resistor and built a new power supply. Both the original power supply and the new one lights up the amp [blue led goes on] but a hear a slight crackling sound initially and no music. What should I be checking, please.
Also, has anyone got a schematic for the V3 [ I love my amp!].

Thanks Mike for the 1 x MILLS MRA12 non inductive resistor and some other goodies that I got from you via my pal Scott who was visiting his grandma in the UK.

Hi All
It's been along time since I have been here.
I still have the above amplifier,in the same condition as reported above - it's been in storage while waiting for a friend to trace the circuit diagram, and he's clearing out unfinished projects at the moment, that's how it's it's see-ing the light of day now.
Has a circuit diagram still not surfaced for this amplifier ?
Mike,it's been a while and I am not be able to tell you exactly what I replaced, I will however have the amp again with me shortly and then I can revert. Thanks for the advice and help.
I would dearly love this amp sorted/repaired.
By the way, I have another HP Amp and 'phones : Pathos Aurium HP Amp with linear power supply and Audeze LCD 2 Carbon headphones, and still have my trusty Sennheiser 600 & 650's too.
Thank you.
