It would have been so much easier if I had just bought the kit. A little here, a little there, I thought... no big deal, until you aren't getting exactly the parts you need. Truth is, I don't enjoy modding near as much as the music itself. I must have taken that can apart 6 times as parts came in. Interesting though, every so often you would hear a difference. New power caps=better bass; new coupling caps=more clarity; better power supply=just better all round.

Hi. Christo from California here. Listening to my X-Can V2 that I installed Mike's latest kit in just this afternoon. I know it will sound better as the caps burn but wow. Running 3 turntables through 3 separate phono drives and they all sound wonderful on Grado headphones. Thanks Mike. I did have to enlarge the passage on the casing as the upgrade Jelco headphone plug was larger in diameter than stock. Dremel tool with a stone bit made short work of it. Loving life with Linkin Park(RIP Chester) now.

Just popping in to say that it's been some time since my v2 and 10D were serviced and upgraded by the hands of a genius...... And they are both just epic to this day, the upgrades are such amazingly good value for the sonic benefits.
I've been enjoying the so much I can't part with my psu for a tweak.
Currently bidding on an x-pre..... Fingers crossed and then I'll send a pair north hopefully...
