Google tracking etc......

I only realised today that "Google" store all of your history etc. online so even if you clear the history on your PC it's still there at history.google.com/history/
I also discovered a lot more nasties that Google are doing in the background and it's basically akin to having a tracking device shackled to your ankles.....
It was my new phone that set the alarm bells ringing (Sony Z5). I clear my cache and browsing history every single day on the PC "from the beginning of time" setting in Google:
History / clear browser data / from the beginning of time.
OK, here is what I found extremely odd......... I never use my phone to "browse" the net but decided to try it out a few days ago...... as with the PC, I went to delete my browsing history / cache etc. only to find that the phone had browsing history that went back almost forever. I couldn't figure out what was going on, why would all that be in my phone "History" when I have never used my phone to browse? Turns out that all of your history / movements / location etc. etc. is stored online by Google and unless you turn off these hidden "settings" online there is no such thing as clearing your browsing history.
Even when you "do" get under the Google bonnet you only get the option to "pause"...... turning off the location / tracking / privacy settings comes up with the message "Paused" and not "off" which would suggest to me they could become active again when somebody decides to hit the "play" button.
Dale has being going on about Google for ages, they truly are Big Brother..... all the defaults are in place to track you / get fingerprints without being arrested / recognise your voice / have access to your contacts / have access to your photos / have access to your search enquiries / have access to your location.... they basically "by default" have access to all of that and you are giving them permission to have access to your movements, your details, your contacts, your location etc. etc.
It's absolutely scary and Google's promo for this extremely intrusive snooping is "It helps us provide a better service to you"..........
I've turned ALL of the "it helps us provide a better service to you" buttons off at history.google.com/history/ but am 100% confident that my turning them off will set off an alarm at Big Brother Headquarters and they will snoop even further into my personal details.......
Hey Jim, that dude in Scotland has disabled fingerprint recognition, tracking services, location, information sharing etc. He must be a threat to National dominance and control (sorry, "national security")..........
George Orwell predicted 1984...... he was a forward thinker..... if he had called his book "2016" it would be a bestseller in the here and now!
Location services are good, your phone will let you know where you are. You can be directed to the nearest Pizza joint. Location services are your friend.
As I say, very frightening but the younger generation are buying into these tracking devices with enthusiasm.... they will probably call it "progress" when you have to lick your phone screen to unlock it....... DNA recognition is so cool!
What the hell is going on?!
Can nobody see it?
Mike.
