Our weather across the pond here has been wacky for some time. Whether we're headed to overall warming or cooling, I think what we're getting for sure is extreme differences from week to week.

It's just gone bonkers up here the past 6 years..... more like "perma Autumn" all year round....... no summer, no winter just ALWAYS Autumn. www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gfmmrfsms if it gets up to 12C and the sun is shining the locals are wandering about in T-shirts and "nice day" is heard echoed around the county...... 12C?!! That's bloody WINTER and certainly not a "scorcher!" I wish these Chinese people would stop "producing" all their plastic crap..... it would put an end to the global "cooling". On a serious note, some say it may get as high as 14C next week......... I best look out my "14C" wardrobe...... one woolly hat (instead of two) should suffice. Maybe time to ditch the kevlar coated panties too and go for my cotton rich summer stock knickers

I watched the Metoffice forecast - yikes! I could do the cold, but when wet is added in, not. I just don't like water falling out of the sky, when I'm wearing my natty pockets-vest with the many small electronics inside.

Dale.... add in a constant gale and you are guaranteed a fair good lashing of the wet stuff....... It's horizontal rain up here, it lashes you straight on in the face.......... Note to self: keep feeding this false idea of the north of Scotland to prevent an influx of "incomers"

Oh yeah - I get it. When contemplating travel to the Highlands, be sure to pack boots with a full inch of insulation on all sides, to prevent severe damage to the footies due to the ground being 25 degrees colder than the air, and .....
I remember clearly going to the 9th grade one January when it was 25 degrees below zero F (minus 32 celsius), and several of my classmates were found frozen in their tracks later that day. Back then everyone walked to school because there was no transportation for poor people. So from then on hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of folks moved South, to South Carolina and Florida. But what the authorities neglected to tell them is, when the Air Conditioning goes out here, from power outage etc., in July and August, large numbers of young children and old people die of the heat and humidity. 100-plus degrees F and 90 to 100 percent humidity. Construction workers and road workers have to do their jobs outside in the sunshine (20 degrees above the air temperature) in summer, but they're all Hispanic imported labor, so nobody cares. Indians and Asians just stay out of that type of work.
