I've recently taken to using a Sony PlayStation 1 as my dedicated CD source (probably deserves a thread in its own right, acknowledging I'm ten years too late). Anyways, it sits on a granite chopping board onto Michell Tenderfeet, then onto a Ikea original Lack with spikes. I ordered some car service parts off eBay, they arrived in a box packed with five pieces of the biggest bubble wrap I've ever seen. Massive. I was just about to bin it when I thought, I wonder? I've messed about with bicycle inner tubes before. I've never known whether to couple or decouple, or whether a cone couples or decouples even. Well, the PlayStation is sat on the granite chopping board on top of the huge bubble air pieces. Can't really tell if it is an improvement but it's no worse for sure.
I know there's the megabucks, Townsend 3D sinks and Vibraplanes. Anyone experimented with air isolation?
