I've not been using my vcan for a bit, due to playing with my xcan v2 (whose PSU released the blue smoke today)
Anyway, hooking it back up, the right channel is missing in action, I was able to get it to pick up by putting pressure on the pot or the 1/4" jack, so cracked it open, re-soldered the pot and socket, aaaand, nothing out the right channel.
Any ideas?

Any ideas? Hi That's a familiar User Name ! Mike may have some other suggestions, but try looking at the tracks around that area with a magnifying glass and in good light, for hair line fractures in the copper tracks.

Any ideas? I've got the worst chest infection of all time (bloody aircraft) and am going to bed...... if you are regaining 2 channels by exerting pressure then it's a dodgy pad, reflow some solder into all the immediate joints. The main culprit with the V-CAN is the solder connections to the headphone socket. Mike.

Awesome, I shall have a look properly later, in the middle of trying to move house (and justify keeping 3 amps to the wife)

Our survey says: one of the pads under the pot is boned, obviously in re-soldering it last night I finished it off.
Sorted with a handy bit of copper.
