Good day all i want to share with you my little project meanwhile the parts for my bravo audio amp come in the mail. i bought two sansui d33 amps both defective for 50 euros of the dutch ebay. One did work but one channel did not work because a faulty volume pot. And the other ones protection circuit was blown. So i ripped the one in the best state apart to find it had two faulty potentiometers with vaseline in them? ?. so i swapped them from the other amp wich felt as new. Then i came to the conclusion the power supply caps were blown and leaking same story for the pre drive amp circuit caps. The power supply caps were replaced with elna for audio 8200uf 56v, and the pre drive amps caps with simic 2 caps after that some biasing and cleaning all the pcb's,switches and pots. and putting it together again. Now its breaking in the capacitors it sounds good but still kinda lifeless, unlike my sansui g30x wich is the newer brother of this amplifier. Here are some pics enjoy! I had to solder 2 caps to the other side of the pcb because the capacitors would not fit with them in the way first time playing since it is with me

Quite satisfying bringing an oldie back to life, I did a NAD 3150 not long ago. The front panel was nearly as tidy as your Sansui there.

The NAD sounded pretty nice, think of a 3020 with a better sounstage, more dynamic and with a fleeter bass that digs a little deeper. I flogged it on though as it wasn't needed.
