Rick, WOW! A thread for me I have seen an article about that alu piece before. Not so detailed though. As described in another thread I will for now upgrade my current CDP incl. the SPDIF out with some Tentlab parts. At the moment I am very tempted to buy the DDDAC1543 MK2 in its incarnation with two 'towers' containing 12x1543 chips each. It is such a strange thing! Really makes me want to build/have one. It uses Tent clocks also and therefore can be syncronised by the master clock upgrade from the CDP. So the CDP clock also replaces the SPDIF-out clock and 'talks' to the clock in the DAC. As written before I then can use the tube output stage of my CDP or the external DAC which might have a clearer but not as musical sound. Back and forth.... I also need a new digital camera since the tiny one I have now makes just mediocre pictures of our small one. Since I have decided I want a dSLR this is eating into the budget as well... Stefan
