I have asked this question elsewhere, but no harm in repeating myself.
I am considering the future for my system. Building the WNAHA has taught me that DIY is great fun, the finished product can be altered to suit my requirements, and is likely to be a lot cheaper than an equivalent priced component in the stores.
I am currently considering what to do in the way of amplification. A strong contender is the Avondale 260z, or at least a couple of NCC200's if I can find a better case (another story altogether).
What I would like is a pre-amp to suit this, or any other power amp. It would be nice if I could fit the WNAHA and a crossfeed (with appropriate switching) inside. This would finally give me a pre with quality headphone capability (plus x-feed). I would need at least four line inputs (vinyl, cd, tuner, pc). PSU could be seperate if required.
Ideally, the kit would be available in Europe (high Customs charges from anywhere else). I could maybe do a pcb-only kit, if the instructions were clear enough.
Any ideas?

Hi Rod, The www.rock-grotto.co.uk/chiarra.htm is a bloody good preamp by all accounts and you have the added bonus that it's a very good headphone amp too.... I haven't used it as a preamp myself but those who have rate it very highly indeed. I'm not sure if Shaun Williams is contactable as yet but you can always fire him an e-mail to see if he's back in business after his move to Spain. Mike.
